Maakie • 5 years ago • #23495383Nice review again! The 'appearing' of the tie also bothers me a bit. The figure from the front is so cute, but looking from below at her boobs is so...strange. I'm also a bit disappointed on the way smaller amount of gems (glass pieces?) on the outfit compared to the Miku design, but I guess I can't complain much about that if it is canon for the TV anime (I still need to watch that one!). Except for those 2 'complaints', I really like this figure! I'm a bit surprised at how long they made Sonico's hair, but it looks cute. Even though her boobs are 'out there', the figure still feels very classy and I love the outfit! :)

Sonico's hair is definitely one of the best things about this figure. The world could use more twintailed Sonicos :).

The issue with the tie is probably the biggest one with this figure, but in fairness one will almost never be looking at the figure like that under normal circumstances. However, it seems like it would have been a whole lot easier to sculpt the tie just laying on her chest like it appears in the anime; it probably would have looked better too!

I really like this one, too. Plus, I wanted a large but not huge Sonico to round out my Sonico shelf, and this one is just the perfect size. She's big, but not so gigantic that she just totally overwhelms the shelf. She nicely balances out ITEM #198372 and ITEM #78702 which sit on the same shelf.
Plus, that killer booty!

Both are very nice Sonico's.
( I have the tan variant of the Cheerleader, so I can attest to that. )
Also, looking forward to your next reveiw.
Even if I don't comment on them, I do always read them. :)

Thanks for pointing that out. Between the original illustration of Miku's racing outfit, the appearance of this outfit in that illustration you pointed out, and its appearance in the SoniAni anime, you kind of need a scorecard to keep track :).

In fact it's strange reading this as I too was apprehensive at buying her but I went in for the pre-order anyway and after unboxing her I knew I'd made the right choice! Her smile is refreshing and the outfit and pose is eye catching! Plus the attention to detail on her was a surprise and that booty is just sublime! All in all I was really shocked with this figure and even more so now reading this review! You've pointed things out here that I totally missed for my unboxing/review video even though (I thought) I had scrutinized this figure to every inch looking for any imperfections. Seems I will have to be even more stricter when unboxing/reviewing! A very thorough review, really enjoyed reading! :D

Admittedly, most of the imperfections are rather minor.

I wasn't really apprehensive about buying this Sonico, but her release month of April was a pretty full month for me, and the truth of the matter is that you don't really see many Sonico figures skyrocket in value so I figured she'd be around. I'm a little surprised that all the big stores still have Sonico new, though. It would be a shame if such a great figure ended up bargain-binning...

hatchetsforhands • 6 years ago • #22924932The reason she doesn't have the diamonds on her shoes is because this figure is referencing the cosplay scene from SoniAni. The animation made the design a little simpler.

*Snaps fingers*. I'd totally forgotten that Sonico wore this outfit during the SoniAni anime.
