Good day to all reading this article! I hope y'all are doing well during these times of uncertainties and finding some activities to prevent boredom!
I am quite new to this community and as so, this is my very first article on MFC. I would love to hear feedback from the members on the reportage of this loot/review and whether y'all enjoyed it (or not). I'm all ears! ^^
Foreword: Before I begin, I would like to apologize for the horrendous lighting. My office is quite dark (hidden away from the sun with only one window facing the forest); hence the dark shadows. Next possible review I will try to remedy this with possible moving to another room or obtain more lighting. Additionally, as a fair warning, this review will be heavy with photos and text!
Without further-ado, below is the review!
After ordering from CDJapan back sometime last year both these best-boys, I was excited to get them in March. However, due to the current predicament, they both had delays to their releases. Thankfully, it was only set back by two months and I finally got my hands on them yesterday! While I don't appreciate the price of FedEx, I do appreciate the speed in which they deliver.
The boxes in which they came are pictured below.

As you can see, Tanjiro's box is quite big; bigger than the average normal Nendo boxes. They also both have the official stickers from their respective studios: Aniplex and Pierrot. Tanjiro comes in a beautiful dark ivy green (with traditional Japanese patterns along the sides) while Toushiro is the same black marble finish as Ichigo's box.
Up first will be Tanjiro's review followed lastly by Toushiro.
Tanjiro Kamado
I was so excited to see my favorite character from Demon Slayer getting a Nendo (second, Inosuke which I am still patiently waiting for an official release *-*). Out of the box, my copy had an intense plastic smell; almost to the point where it made me gag.--Side note, Toushiro also had this problem out of his box--. I wonder if anyone had this problem as well with theirs. He comes with plenty of accessories and arm options.

His booklet is also interesting as it is quite long compared to other standard Nendos as pictured below.

Once out of the plastic covering, here is Tanjiro!

God, he is just too...gorgeous ;A; Although, he did come with a few, small defects. Hopefully this is only on mine and y'alls will be clean. The first picture highlights a plastic scab and scuff while the second shows a bit of paint transfer/scuffing from his haori sleeve. I believe the haori scuff can be easily remedied by the application of a Magic Easter (Bless Mr. Clean OTL).

Speaking of his haori, this Nendo has been faithfully recreated to capture the intricate checkered pattern in all of its glory. Here is an example from the back.

His earrings also have been recreated, but lacks the black strays on the hanafuda cards (minor issue, can understand if it was not possible since it is so smol). Beware to future/current owners! His earrings are sculpted into the face plate and therefore are incredibly fragile. Do handle with care as all three face plates contain these type of earrings as seen below on the second picture.

Among the various poses advertised on the box, here are a few pictured below.

Concerning his water effects part, oh boy. IS IT HEAVY. It may not be shown properly, but the last picture has the half water-wheel resting on his hair. Just be careful when handling/posing with this piece as it may snap the Nichiren blade if not. It was so heavy, that when posed sideways, the darn thing was lopsided! Shown below.

You absolutely need to add the special claw (seen in the next picture) to hold it up.

As a sidenote, the blade can be displayed sheathed in.

Now, as some of you know, one of Tanjiro's move includes the Second Form: Water Wheel. I am glad GSC included this as an accessory, the move was pretty cool to see animated in the anime. BUT! LET ME TELL YOU HOW MUCH OF A PAIN THIS IS TO MANEUVER AND POSITION!! ୧(⇀‸↼‶)૭. First off, let's start off with this ITTY BITTY PIECE.

(Apologizes for the ungodly sight that is my nails, they look...just...awful TT). This...thing...is used to hold the ENTIRE wheel at the top of the formation. Not only does it barely hold the two pieces together, but I can see it snap so easily on a whim with just the slightest breath of air on it. After TWO uses, the sharkfin bit is starting to show breakage at the bottom. Additionally, only one of the effect piece is to be inserted into the sharkfin bit while the other just awkwardly cradles between the first wheel effect and the plastic barrier. Doesn't clip in, Doesn't slide in. It just SITS THERE. ಠ⌣ಠ You better pray it just doesn't decide to roll off or break back into two pieces. The only saving grace is the clip mentioned earlier to hold the lower portion of water effect pieces. But again, NOTHING is clipped in. Just slide the two pieces together into the lower clip and pray to all the gods that it miraculously holds everything together. That being said (thanks for listening to my Ted-Talk rant), it is still SO cool to see it once you manage to hold everything together in. Once you have that set up, getting Tanjiro to fly in the air like a mangled puppet is quite difficult as well. The claw doesn't cooperate as well as I would like it to and can hinder movement in Tanjiro's arms. Because of how fragile both the wheel and Tanjiro is, GSC suggests to not have this pose on display for too long. At least they were honest about the problems that could occur in the future. Here are some (poor) attempts of getting him in his Second Form.

Finally for Tanjiro, as a last heads up, the water effect parts are sculpted in a blue, clear plastic with some rough, white paint. I noticed right out of the box some flaking, and scratches after handling with the pieces when finagling it around for the wheel pose (as seen below).

Toushiro Hitsugaya
Out of all the anime that I have had the pleasure of growing up with, Bleach holds a special place in my heart. I used to watch it on Toonami/Cartoon Network/Adult Swim late into the night and it was one of my very first introduction to more "mature" animation. I still have the first box set of episodes in my room sitting on my bookshelf (guess my age XD). I am still a big fan of it to this day and I am so excited for the return of Bleach to television. I hope Pierrot comes back and does it justice once again! Among the Soul Society characters, Captain #10 (Snowy in the Eng manga) was my favorite. His bankai was mesmerizing and his cold temperament was quite something. So when I saw GSC announce his Nendo, I SNATCHED him in matter of seconds. Plus, seeing him together with Ichigo's Nendo was a real NEED. And I can say without a doubt....I AM NOT DISAPPOINTED AT ALL. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
Smol boi incoming (╬ ̄皿 ̄)=○#( ̄#)3 ̄)

His flawless white hair has been beautifully sculpted and is even has hints of grey gradients (I failed to mention Tanjiro's fabulous hair, but its a nice maroon/burgundy red). Unfortunately, my copy came with a small crack in the paint (under the paragraph) and over time I can expect it to slowly chip away. Due to his hair being so white, it is prone to pick up any smudge and coloration transfer from when handling the figure. Just be aware of this when changing his face plate especially. A nice detail was the character "shi" or ten on the back of his haori as well.

Below are a few of his poses that were also advertised on his box. The last one SCREAMS with annoyance at his team members' shenanigans. Such a mood (~˘▾˘)~. Both his green sash and sheath are removable.

For the grand finale, BANKAI: Daiguren Hyōrinmaru!

Upon assembling and witnessing his Bankai form...I couldn't contain my tears..of joy. \(*T▽T*)/
While a bit of a hassle (the backpack to holster the ice wings needs to be EXACTLY aligned with the peg and the peg hole which is more difficult than it sounds), the end product was fun to pose and play with. Hyōrinmaru's head on his right arm is posable (can be positioned to move right to left) as well the individual dragon ice wings. They are the standard GSC joint pegs (like the spare) and so can be posed in different positions. The pegs have to be placed into holes located on the backpack (seen below) and can be tough to get into. They have a tendency of slipping out or moving around when trying to insert them into the holes. I figured out to just be patient and slowly twist the peg in to avoid these issues. While the ice effect parts give off a resin-like look to them, they are instead made out of a clear bluish plastic so I worry that overtime it may go yellow or murky. Lastly, the whole ice assemblage (feet, hand, arm, wings, backpack) is EXTREMELY pointy! You can hurt yourself if you want to with these things, not that I recommend it ㄱ,ㄱ
Final Thoughts
Overall, I highly recommend these Nendos to anyone whom is a fan of these shows or is looking for a showpiece on the shelf. They also have a decent amount of intricate accessories and posability. However, these figures require some level of care and are not easy to pose unlike some others in the GSC Nendo line. Give these figures plenty of love and time and I am sure you will have as much fun as I did when handing them for the first time! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ ✧゚・: *ヽ(◕ヮ◕ヽ)

Thank you for taking the time to read my article! :D
Hahaha, I promise you wont regret all those purchases! I agree 100%.... the faces for most,--if not all apart from his Nendo--give off a creepy, almost uncanny valley look to it. Especially the ones with his smiling/happy face.
He is a sweet baby angel~~
Ooohh, I didn't know! I'm so glad!

Tbh I usually end up liking those characters, so here's to hoping it's the same this time.

Ayy, here's to hoping then!
The movie is still coming out as planned for this fall. You won't be disappointed!
I see on the Bleach-related MFC boards quite a number of Renji requests for the next Bleach Nendo and so I hope you guys get your wishes (his banki NEEDS to be included as well!). They should put out all of the important captains and team members before moving into the Arrancar arc for sure.
I can definitely see how people think he's annoying even if it kills me inside, but yeah I definitely agree that the seiyuu did a great job! Ugh stop, I can only be so excited for the (delayed?) movie.

Lol, don't get me wrong. His Nendo looks FIRE, but I can't stand his character (I know he gets better in the manga but still, no. Although his seiyuu does a FANTASTIC job of conveying his character). Concerning Rengoku: when the movie comes out, you will see why he is loved by the fandom. His story is quite tragic and he deserves better. TT^TT

I also can't believe that Bleach got Nendos! I am hoping to see more in the future (especially the Arrancars :v:).
I see you're just gonna play my boi x
Also I still cannot believe GSC is making Bleach nendoroids! Never thought I'd see the day.
I tried to resist, but it was inevitable that I would cave in and get him! He was so irresistibly cute. I plan on only getting Inosuke, the others I am not a big fan of (HOT TAKE). I may get Rengoku if he gets announced.
