Hi, friends! This week, we’ve been blessed by an explosive little Crimson Demon!

“Waga na wa Megumin!”
~~~~~ ORIGIN ~~~~~
I recently featured the Aqua that pairs with this Megumin - I invite you to check out that FMR if you’d like to learn more about KonoSuba!
~~~~~ FIGURE REVIEW ~~~~~
Megumin is a 1/7 scale figure by Kadokawa. Like the corresponding Aqua, this figure uses the light novel art style, which makes her eyes look especially bright and adorable!

Our wee witch’s signature outfit is an explosion of vivid red and vibrant goldenrod that are a treat for the eyes! Even dark areas like her cape and hat have noticeable shading and sculpted folds that make for a visually-appealing piece. I especially love how that same Christmas-ornament-style look we saw in Aqua’s hairpiece makes Megumin’s staff gem look so magically mystic (´꒳`)

Some clear plastic supports various parts. The aforementioned staff has a tiny one holding that gem, and her hat is supported by another. Fortunately, the fact that it’s mostly hidden behind her and very much translucent minimizes its visual distraction, and I often forget about it; instead, I realize when positioning her that her hat, staff, and cape reach quite far backwards, which makes her take up a surprising depth of shelf space.
While the base would otherwise be a rather unassuming circle with a form-fitting shoe peg, it’s got the runes that manifest as the Arch Wizard casts her Explosion Magic! The bright yellow design is a nice accent to her overall red color scheme.

~~~~~ PERSONAL COMMENTS ~~~~~
While this Megumin’s expression is far bubblier than her anime counterpart, I really like how it looks as though she’s cheerfully preparing to cast her favorite spell! I actually got this one first before eventually finding Aqua down the line. While these two are special versions that likely won’t have any additions to the set, I’m glad to have them together as they complement each other well.
That’s all for now! Thanks for reading my FMR! ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ
I personally agree - the anime version is cute, too, but the LN style is just so bright and bubbly! Probably cuz of that EKUSPUROSION! (╯✧∇✧)╯
The hair can look brown or black depending on the lighting, but yea - it's darker than the anime! Overall, a very well-done figure. Hope you do get the opportunity! (۶•̀ᴗ•́)۶
