Pitisica • 10 years ago • #1573475I love this idea! I don't like to have more than one scale figure of a character, so I normally do this myself: open all the figures in different tabs and gradually eliminate them to determine which one I prefer. With this it will make my work much easier :)
What rules do you plan to put in place in terms of creating polls? Can anyone do it? For example if I am looking for an Asuka figure, can I go ahead and create the poll myself and link it to this club?
Since I am the first member it doesn't matter too much I guess, then again this might become quite popular.

hmmm...i didn't really figure that out yet. ideally, we could have this done in forums, but the site features are limited compared to articles, which also gain more visibility to the public.

i actually got a lot of backlash from other bloggers telling me not to spam w/ these polls...they were occupying the top 5 most recent articles section on the home page, and i guess other bloggers want their articles to be seen there instead. i asked MFC admins to perhaps change the underlying query to group by user so that only one user's article could occupy the top 5 at any point in time, but i don't know if anything will come of that. i think in the meantime the mods suggested i stagger these polls--i.e. spread them out over time.

ideally, the polls would keep the same format. if other users also want to do polls, in light of all this, it may be prudent to moderate them, but i guess i can't stop others from doing it, and if they do, then i don't know if this would still count towards spamming...

i was planning to do maybe a few per week, but not sure yet. the last one i did was at a request of another user, so maybe we can just do that: accept requests.

i could create and maintain a poll here to collect requests, and whichever figure gets the most nominations will be elected for the next posting.

i mainly created the club to maintain a centralized location to link to these public polls, haven't quite thought out how else to evolve it if it starts to get a following--i am up for discussing any suggestions.
