Anyone who had this shipped from AmiAmi to the US, how much was shipping?curious to know how much shipping is for anyone in the US!i just made a comment about this but ill tag you guys as well :D shipping to the usa from amiami via ems was 6k yen for me, but would probably be slightly less if i didnt ship her with a tiny plushie
since many people are wondering about shipping i will share! i ordered mine off amiami and live in the usa. i shipped this figure with a small plushie ITEM #1325533 and shipping totaled 6780yen via EMS. as with a lot of miku scales, the box was massive, so 6k shipping wasnt bad at all. expect a big, light amiami box
as for the figure itself?View spoiler i love her a lot more than i thought i would. i toyed with the idea of canceling my order a few times because of the big price tag, but im glad i didnt!! im not a fan of the default miku outfits or hair colors, but this one is an exception. it has tons of cute details and her hair color is incredibly vibrant. she contrasts my floorboards and wall color and it really makes her pop. her leggings and arm cover things are all shiny. her bangs have a slight color change towards the tips rather than the usual transparent tips (that often fall flat for me)
something i was very worried about when ordering her was her base, it looked really big and complex and it also looked like it glows in the dark or .. something?? (i honestly havent figured that one promo pic of her base glowing in the dark yet lol, i guess sometimes it looks different under flash? and under my uv light? just noticed the back says blacklight lol) luckily miku herself really outshines her base. the base itself is pretty chunky, but big enough to be able to cover it with other items/figures/plushies
the biggest issue i can see arising is eventual leaning (only one foot is attached to the base, but it attaches via a big metal rod) and her hair color. her hair color isnt wrong or bad, but i will warn you that it looks very different in a lot of different lightings. my phone makes it look more seafoam-y, my desk light makes it look green, but my cheap makeup light makes it look fairly accurate. just prepare for changing up your lighting until you get the shade to your liking :)
