Seller never shipped out the statue, surprise surprise. I don't think this is a scammer situation, because eBay withholds funds for new sellers. Instead I think this is someone who never uses eBay, they threw an item they knew nothing about up for a random price and forgot to ever check their eBay again after that. No attempt to contact them lead to anything, and eBay is trying to argue with me that since a month has passed I'm no longer eligible to receive my money back (which is incorrect, I just need to speak with a competent support agent and not one of the dumbasses who just spits copy paste nonsense at any issue you have).

So yeah, didn't work out! Would have made one hell of a story if it did though /:

Wisprin6 months ago#106219500This is almost certainly one of those "too good to be true" situations, but I just bought one of these on eBay for $150. The titled was literally just "Bartholomew Kuma", but it was definately the statue being sold with original box and in visually good condition.
I'm 95% sure they're not going to ship it and cancel the order. Perhaps they meant to set the price as $1500, or perhaps it's a scam and they'll ship me a counterfeit (though, I looked around a lot and could not find confirmed fakes for this statue). Maybe they'll ship me a completely different item, some scuffed little Kuma statue, and I'll have a "Spongebob Popsicle" situation on my hands where the actual produce is nothing like the pictures.
No matter what I'm protected by eBay seller protections, so I'm safe from being scammed. Curious to see how the situation unfolds. If I get this statue for $150 I'm actually going to have a mental breakdown. A positive mental breakdown, but a mental breakdown nonetheless.
