Is Bandai the only company with the rights to the manga, movie, and original series versions of GitS? With all of these new statues/figures set to be released it seems like a real shame that only one of them is based on the earlier designs.

Altough I love Ilya's art, I've suffered enough with the previous version. A Megahouse figure will never coming in my house again!
I the unlikely case I'm getting rich until 2023 I'll buy Prime 1's version otherwise I'll continue enjoying Ilya's art in 2D.

I am glad after reading other people pointing it out that it's not just me.
What's with her awkward pose?
Regular Head sculpt looks good. Bit too happy...would've preferred the serious Motoko face.
Secondary face plate has same mouth but a f-ing visor slapped on it (Lazy) and awkward because her face expression doesnt match it.
Her left arm....wtf is it doing? Would've been better off that left arm on the hip and her right arm cocking her rifle upward in a nice sassy stance even.
Megahouse normally does good work and I love the previous release with her battle pose which was a GK they basically made into a official release.
So this release...what's the excuse? I'm disappointed in Megahouse on this one.

Normally I buy every Major but this costs more than the other MH one that came out last year, but in a boring weird pose and less detail??? Really???
The only thing that's got me even considering buying is that the other one went up slightly in the aftermarket and figures of the Major in general tend to, but it didn't go up by all that much, and with this one looking so boring, I'm not so sure it'll do the same.
