It's a late response, but I believe the commenter is upset that a more animesque series gets disqualified here on MFC due to it's Chinese origin on this website. Though, some of it's figures and merch made by Japanese manufacturers are allowed.

While a Swedish character that isn't influenced by anime gets a pass since he got featured in a Japanese game and this figure is based on a Japanese origin and made by a Japanese company.

It's kind of confusing to explain the rules. Pretty much, non-Japanese origins are only allowed if they are made by a Japanese manufacturer. This has been a hot-button topic for a while now since Chinese companies nowadays are producing anime-inspired figures that sell very well, yet the rules are kind of dated and many people want those figures in the database.
