Oh yes, you can see in many releases today and for this one I think the case is that many cancelled her when they became aware of how much it would've costs with shipping and taxes on top of the already huge price.
So many were left unsold and they went right to the throat of this problem by slashing the price. :S

You're right. At least this happening means that maybe... Just maybe prices will be better across the board. One can only hope. XS it's just pure greed from the manufacturers, when you see discounts like these right on release when you've already paid full price it's just incredibly disheartening
