Personally I really like this concept (also preordered it). If the lipstick is more subtle, her face alltogether looks not fitting and kind of "fades away" from the whole figure, due to the contrast of the popping red handbag and the other intense colours, llike the clear black. I think the lipstick is a perfect match and benefits the whole aura of the figure.
I know this figure has gotten some hate, but I honestly really like it. I think the street style vibe will go awesome with the radio Eva figures of her. Also the red accents tie really well to the radio Eva figs as well. If I'm still collecting when this comes out I think I'll definitely get her.
I'm with you on this-- I also love the shade of lipstick that she has, because that's the whole point of the figure. Rei's shade, as red as her eyes -- with the slogan "No more Rules" because it's a very bold color. The application might need some finetuning still but I still like it
