bananerfish19 days ago#123867605Actually, the ring was sold separately the first time as well. It is made of 18k gold, so its not costume jewellery, and on GSC it retailed for 700$. They did not restock it for the reissue. I found one that sold second hand for about 400$ and the only one available I found is about 1.4k! I am insane enough that if one was available for a fair price I would actually consider it. I don't love the design or stone choices but I love jewellery in general. In short, it might be most practical to use a ring you already have. But...

PSA!
Although its probably a minority who want to use him to hold a ring, for those who do, just be aware that different metals and even different alloys of the same metal (like different formulations of 18k gold, or 18k vs 14k gold) can have different degrees of hardness. The harder the metal, the more materials it can scratch. So be mindful that it is not hard enough to scratch the material of the figure (PVC? the paint?). Look up something like 'Mohs scale jewellery metals' and you can find a guide on metal hardness. Since the official ring was 18k gold, chances are 18k gold or softer metals are fine, however, maybe they used a particularly soft alloy of 18k gold. Maybe GSC didn't bother to look much into it even! Worth asking them directly if they have any info on this before potentially scratching your figure.

I did not know this! Also that is such a good idea to have him hold a ring I already own! Thank you for the response and idea!

PixelQueer19 days ago#123842436I just got mine! However I am guessing the ring is not included in the reissue sadly. But either way I am happy to finally have him in my possession.

I’m so glad Ash has been released from GSC prison and that the May 2024 delay was just a typo =] He’s supposed to arrive on Monday!!!

The brand new on Solaris Japan for 155$ is a bit more than Good Smile, but they let you edit the value on the invoice so might be a better deal for some.

I'm still anxiously waiting for mine to arrive, it was shipped on the 19th of April from Good Smile GL, still in transit. Really excited.

tayaky25 days ago#123620428Hey anyone who knows more about amazonJP than me, could you help me out?
This figure is listed on amazonJP for 18810 yen which I thought was a pretty good price. However when I went to check out the price changed to 20520 yen. Is this normal? I have never had it happen before so I don't know if it's caused by some sort of hidden tax or it's simply an error.
The biggest problem I'm facing right now is the fact that the difference is over 10 euros which puts the final price right over 150 euros (which means extra taxes D:)

from my experience buying from ebay and amazon outside of europe, you usually get charged taxes with your payement and not when the product arrives in your country
