So good news he's in china since 2-3 days for this figure and others (like the Prosthetic arm).
Obviously there will be another delay but looks like it will be the last one.

Hope it comes in june.

moose3341 month ago#120948685So I just got a response from Headlong (the sculptor) on twitter about Sekiro. He said to ask Gecco for an official response but he could say a little. He said they're working hard to produce it and he doesn't think it's cancelled and it'll take more time. He said Gecco's people check it and produce it directly but they are having trouble getting into China which is crucial (idk if he means for manufacturing, selling, or both) but that's what is slowing things down.
I posted this in the Fromsoft club but figured others here would like to know as well
Sounds about right. The good thing is china finally opened up in terms of covid policy last month, so maybe now they will be able to travel to do their QC stuff.
BUT the policy change happened just last month. So my guess is we are gonna see one other delay at least, fingers crossed though

thank you for messaging headlong :) wanted to add on that gecco responded to an email I sent as well. They said that they are "producing figures in several different process according to the difficulty level, and sekiro is the most difficult item to control in quality." They also said they need to hold the production until staff from japan can go to the factory in china to inspect the item. they hope they can go back to normal operation in march, and will update the schedule when they can.

this probably explains why silent hill+little nightmares items are being made faster-anyways seems in general with the email and headlongs response that the issue is mostly time with getting into china for qc stuff. which is understandable

Naytt1 month ago#120940034So Gecco keeps updating about new Silent Hill line, and even about upcoming Little Nightmares figures, which were announced in 2022 and are already shipping ; Wolf was supposed to be available on February 2020...
Someone on Facebook said that Wolf has been secretly shelved, that Gecco are currently unable to release it, and maybe they never will.

Sounds like unsubstantiated rumors to me made by a frustrated customer.
These twitter threads by a Gecco rep who took a business trip to China back in November to oversee manufacturing (Sekiro included) kind of go into why there's been delays.

I think people are severely underestimating the effects COVID still has on China and figure manufacturing process. All we can do is be patient, I think Gecco's hands are tied here.

Naytt1 month ago#120940113I love Sekiro, I love Gecco work ; but three years, without a single update... Instead, they keep posting about Silent Hill stuff.
I really want Wolf statue, so maybe I'll wait until end of March, which is the current release date.
Let's hope.
oh yeah of course. I love gecco and also love silent hill, but i can imagine its incredibly frustrating when silent hill stuff keeps going up while people who ordered this are being kept in the dark. Even if he does release at some point, i can understand if people would rather cancel their orders. But yes lets stay hopeful for now!
