I've seen pics and videos of the real figure, and although it's not exactly like the prototype I actually think they look great! I just want to know why so many people hate it. Maybe it looks worse in person than in photos?

I honestly don't think there's huge issus with this one, people are just nitpicky.
As far as I know UC has a bad reputation cuz they robbed off their costumers, I assume people are still upset about that and hesitant about the company.

I must admit that the price for this figure is very high so I understand that people are more critical about quality control. I also wish it had been 100 bucks cheaper tbh. But if you manage to find it for a good price I'd go for it. (meaning release price or lower) I'd not recommend buying it for insane aftermarket prices unless these are holy grails for you.

For em personally it's the highlight of my evangelion collection, I absolutely love those two and would never think about selling them.
