No, we don't own a Switch (not big on Nintendo) so my husband's playing FIFA on his laptop. He usually buys games with discounts and digitally, he doesn't collect physical copies like me.

2770 yen sounds about right for a small package and yes, we were also surprised to see surface would've been more expensive.
About a month ago (or so) Neokyo had a campaign in which 4 orders from Mercari were without added fee so of course we had to make use of that.
As always (with rare exceptions) we're careful to stay under 2kgs for cheaper and faster shipping. It's surprising how much stuff can fit into the 2kg threshold.

I don't know about other companies but we don't have a yearly review. There are yearly mandatory salary raises along the whole country and you basically see the raise on your next salary report and that's pretty much it. Oh and usually that sum is laughable.

That's very different from how things are here. Basically here companies would like to keep employees forever (if they're valuable) for the lowest possible salary. Because salary isn't much higher at other companies people tend to stick to one job (with the exception of GenZ mostly)
For example where I work now is my first and current job which I've held since 2012, for 11 years now (time sure flies!)
I'm sure it's better that you've been at the same workplace for 3 years now. It's just as you said, getting a new job is frustrating.
Here, there's no such thing as working for free time. For overtime you get extra money. Then again my husband at LIDL mostly gets extra days off for working overtime, but LIDL is German so maybe the policies are different.

Getting out once in a while is good for overall health so if your specialist agrees and your husband can drive if necessary then you shouldn't miss out on any trips.
Korea handled the pandemic well and I imagine they are still cautious, especially with tourists but if they're loosening up then I imagine Japan is slowly doing the same.

I've always loved languages myself and maybe if I didn't have anime and gaming consuming most of my time, I might've learned many more ^_^"
Even though I don't like the Romanian language I'm grateful it was mandatory to learn since because of it I can make out some Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and French words and context.
I can also write and read in Cyrillic but most of the time I have no idea what the words mean XD Sometimes I can make a few of them out because some Russian words are very similar to Romanian ones.
Also, the few German words I know, I know from Rammstein

It's an impressive feat to know many languages and have basics in so much more. It seems you have an affinity for them. I'm sure with time you'll pick up Finnish too especially since you're surrounded by native speakers.
I used to listen to Nightwish so I kinda have an idea how it sounds like, it's one weird and unique language.
I've read that for Hungarians it's easy to learn Finnish because both belong to the same language branch (Uralic) but I can confirm that's not true, they're only distantly related. However they do have one thing in common, both are difficult to learn. Usually you can find them on "Top 10 hardest languages" list and for a good reason.

There are so many things to take into consideration when learning Hungarian. For starters there are 44 letters in our alphabet (with double letters like: ly, cs, ty, zs etc.) and 14 are vowels which are super important for context, like so:


Also there are plenty of words in which you need to double the double letters like the cs in "peccsdzsem" (rosehip jam) for it to be grammatically correct or the same double double letter but written differently like in "kulcscsomó" (bunch of keys)

We have lots of variants for words and you have to always use the correct form for the sentence to make sense:

The easier aspect of Hungarian is that you read every word phonetically, pretty much what you read is what you pronounce.

Yeah, parents nowadays have lot on their plate. Unless they homeschool, they can't really regulate the content their kid is watching especially if it's mandatory to have tablets in schools. Not to mention the worst of social media being accessible for them all the time...
Over here kids still have books and they have to take notes during classes (in universities lessons are presented through PowerPoint). Maybe the big cities are somewhat modernized, but mostly everything is still done on paper.

We do watch quite a lot of anime together, mostly shounen and seinen. There are some series that I watch alone, I kinda know by now what is his cup of tea and what isn't.
His favorite anime of all time is One-Punch Man, that's the series which really got him into anime.
Some anime that we religiously watch together are: JoJo, Chainsaw Man, Vinland Saga, Attack on Titan, Mob Psycho 100, Record Of Ragnarok and of course One-Punch Man.

Yeah, well if you take off Tamaki's faceplates they do look generic, but unless a character has specific facial traits most nendoroid faceplates look kinda generic on their own XD
Some do have unique faceplates because the character is known for having lots of varied facial expressions.
That Tamaki face would've been so cute but overall I'm happy with how he turned out :3

I don't mind QTE in a game because I've played so many games which had QTEs so I got used to them. I didn't mind the ballistics line, I thought it was funny. There were no complaints about it either back in the day, only maybe by the usual vocal minority who have issue with everything. I played lots of Japanese games which had crude and in your face quirky humor and even provocative scenes so I guess I got used to it.
Games like God Hand, Lollipop Chainsaw, Shadows of the Damned, No More Heroes, Bayonetta and of course Metal Gear Solid had plenty of those kind of scenes/dialogue and boy did I have fun with those games.

My cousin said Luis now looks like an alcoholic and now I cannot unsee forever :)) Oh yes, undoubtedly new Carlos is something else *whistles* I really took my time with his sections in the game XD
Hmm, the beret actually looks good on Krauser IMO but yeah, there are plenty more RE males who are way more attractive. I hope they go on the Carlos route with Billy and not on the Luis route XD

I've played the first Dying Light and it was fun (I've yet to play the 2nd) I actually prefer playing solo, or single player games. The only multiplayer game I play is League of Legends and I play horror games (like The Dark Picture Anthology games, Quarry etc.) with my cousin cause it's much more fun getting scared shitless together LOL Her husband always watches us play with one eye open (because he's so scared) and my husband likes to have no part in it cause he doesn't like horror XD

My shelves are really full as they are so adding backdrop or other merch would just make it a jumbled mess ^_^"

My husband rarely watches football, maybe some match replays here and there but he is pretty much up to date with news and events from a couple of youtube channels (He also plays FIFA sometimes) I guess with championships and such the stakes are high, especially with last few games so the players themselves get more anxious and switch to beastmode for a shot at winning.
Well I'm 1000% sure the Japanese don't wreck arenas even if they don't win.

We still use Neokyo and we were shocked about the low shipping cost too. It was for a figure with a box that took up the space of 2 nendoroid boxes and a couple of small goodies.
I don't think they had any discounts, I think the cost had to do with the package weight.

Ah yes, typical. I don't ever go to ask for a raise since they always come up with some excuses. Yes, that'a pretty much true here as well. New colleagues get better pay and have the option to work a half an hour more to get more money. I was never asked this, but I don't mind since I wouldn't do it, extra free time is precious.
Over here younger generations are more prone to switching jobs frequently but this also has its downsides. If the new employer sees a person had 4-5 jobs before applying for the current one they'll be deemed irresponsible and not serious enough to hold a job for long so they're ignored.

I'm sorry to hear covid is still so relevant there. It's sad to hear people are still sick for 2-3 weeks. No one talks about covid anymore here in the country, it's like it never happened.
I'd say if you're really looking forward to road trips you should go for them, especially if it doesn't involve huge crowds.

Well as I don't travel I don't really have any idea how are things now with international air travel. At least you don't need anything to travel to Hungary which is great as we only go there once in a while.
Things in Asia always go slower because they are more strict and people tend to be more disciplined but eventually they'll need to ease up to try and get some money back they lost 2-3 years ago.

Well yeah, since you are in a foreign country there's the language barrier too you have to overcome. I can converse in my native language every day since I live in a Hungarian town. Apart from Hungarian it's a must to speak Romanian if you want to get around once you go to bigger cities and English is a language which I loved since I was small so it was easy to pick up. I speak a bit of Japanese too, very basic though.

Luckily there are no phones in the office where I work, such things are handled by the secretaries - which is good since I don't like talking on the phone with strangers, only if it's necessary.
Well yeah, there's no reason to switch jobs if the next one is going to be pretty much the same. Especially since customer service is pretty much the same everywhere you go, assholes shop everywhere.

The most expensive figure I ever bought (brand new) was around 11000 yen ITEM #945857 15000 is probably the most I'd pay for a new figure and maybe 7000 for a used one if it's a scale or rare, otherwise only 5000 at most.
I never understood how bunny figures could cost so much, it's ridiculous. I don't like bunny figures either way, they are so basic and boring. I have no clue how much they cost used but just as you said, unless they're damaged or something I imagine their price won't drop down even for used ones.

I might still be collecting kinders if the quality was the same as back when I was a child. There were so many cute animals like lions, cats, hippos, penguins etc. and the quality was amazing (it's said those were painted by inmates) Then after a while they started putting deformed figures from movie franchises and ugly aliens that were made from cheap plastic and that's when I stopped collecting. I sometimes buy 1 or 2 out of nostalgia but I rarely get anything worthy.

I guess I could borrow the car from my dad but I don't like to borrow expensive stuff from anyone. I never had the motivation and need for a car so that's why a driver's license wasn't important for me. Once we'll have our licenses we'll probably buy a car.
Yep, for sure, once you have a child then it's pretty much bye-bye to all your hobbies and likes for quite a while. Putting them in front of youtube or giving them a phone so they're occupied defeats the purpose of having one. By now you've definitely seen the OHSHC nendos. Both Tamaki and Kyoya turned out well but Tamaki has much better faceplates and accessories. They both cost 5135 yen on Hobbygenki so that's pretty resonable (I estimated around 5500 yen)

I would say the games I played were interesting and I had fun with them but I expected much more scary scenes. (I bought The Medium last week, it was about 7 euros for the boxed version, couldn't pass it up)
I'm in no rush to play the remake since I already played the original (and it still holds up to this day) and it's a pity they couldn't leave all the original dialogue intact. I'd play it on PS4 PRO anyways as I did with the previous remakes. PS5 shortage is not an issue here anymore since most online stores are stocked and the prices are going down too.
(I'll wait until next year to buy one when Tekken 8 comes out)

I wasn't impressed with the 2nd Evil Within. It wasn't bad by any means but it didn't have the atmoshpere of the 1st one.

I don't like to put backdrops and other merch besides figures in my Detolfs but that's just me. The posters with the girls and all the various merch combos look awesome in your display though.

Ja merk het zelf ook ik had laatst weer een verkoudheid te pakken. Niet ernstig gelukkig maar fijn is het niet. Zelf verder niks ergs gekregen (meer) dus in dat opzicht gezegend. Heb nu 4 preorders die wat duurder zijn mja wedding taiga ging vorige keer ook megahoog in aftersales en wil die wel graag hebben. De vossen dame begin ik steeds meer over te twijfelen maar moet ik in echt zien. Kan altijd nog gelijk na release verkopen als de borsten toch te storend zijn.
En er komen veel leuke holos uit dus daar heb ik 1tjr nog van besteld die gaan in aftersales altijd voor gek hoge prijzen. Heb wel wat holos weggedaan ervoor vind de nieuwere stuk mooier. En ben hyped voor NANA, eindelijk figures ervan niet verwacht. Heb hachiko besteld. Heb minder met hoe ze andere Nana hebben gedaan naar wie weet haal ik die toch later.
En er is 1 furry die in in de gaten houd ben normaal niet van furry maar deze heeft wel wat. Helaas was ik te laat met de knoop doorhakken dus afwachten maar..
Mja ik volg niet teveel meer hier qua nieuwe spul. Sowieso zit ik eraan te denken mfc op laag pitje te houden. Het is zo veranderd en voor mij stuk minder leuk. Begint een soort reddit te worden hier.
Dus ben langzaam collectie naar myanimeshelf verplaatsen en alles updaten daar.

En qua fig prijzen ja al snel gauw hmm 180 ofzo gelukkig staat yen nu laag waardoor het nog te overzien is.

Vind zelf ook veel risico nog met verre landen en gezien we telkens ziek werden na de verre reis..

Hoe bedoel je? Kan wel gewoon zitten geen uren eisen aan, wel competenties eisen en diploma. Maar ik heb mijn promotie, extra schaal erbij en ga nu rustig aan werken naar volgende doel. Ik heb met 36 uur wel voldoende inkomen en genoeg rust. Wil wel naar 32 gaan uiteindelijk maar minder hoeft van mij niet
Ik merk dat met nog minder ik niet weet wat ik met de uren moet haha en dat ik dan weer tig hobby's ga hebben wat ik liever niet wil :p fitness is wel een goede hobby want neemt weinig ruimte in. Heb wel yoga blokken en foam roller , matje, wat proteïne repen, weerstand banden en kleding maar that's it :)
Met 32 uur wel wat meer tijd voor huishouden dus daar vind ik het wel fijn voor.

AH ja ik kijk ook veel series en tv laatste tijd. Ik kijk Seinfeld op Netflix. Oudere serie maar vermakelijk.
Ik speel qua games hogwarts legacy nu veelal :) en we spelen af en toe assassin's creed Valhalla op ps5
